Apple's Intel Mac Pro supports 16GB of RAM (as long as your wallet can afford it) and I would imagine that Windows XP 64bit and Vista 64 bit would be able to support 16 GB of RAM with a suitable mother board, although if it was me I would be going for a Mac or Linux set up if I was doing the sort of heavy lifting that required 16GB of RAM like engineering or movie rendering. |

| 570707 | 2007-07-21 22:24:00 | Lets see you run 6GB in your WinXP PC then. pctek that would be good if my mboard could take it. Unfortunately my board has 4 slots and in theory I can run 4Gb but ASUS messed up and 4Gb runs the same as 3GB, this was fixed in the next release of my particular board. I do a lot of graphics and Video work so next PC will have 8Gb minimum capability providing I buy correctly. |
