| 570579 | 2007-07-20 11:04:00 | I realise this is one of those questions people will be able to offer limited advice on (short of taking it back) but anything I could try would really help - just collected a new computer and it won't boot. The build checklist accompanies it which showed that the tech booted it successfully but as much as I try it just won't respond when I try to start it up - no noises, nothing happens. I've checked the O/I switch next to the power plug, tried different power plugs, different wall sockets, all that. I guess the click-y power button on the front has lost its connection to the PSU or something? It's an Asus M2A-VM motherboard and Raidmax O2 302 case (with RX-500 PSU I believe). Very frustrating... |

| 570581 | 2007-07-20 11:17:00 | Take it back if its new and tell them to fix it. If you cant hear a click or something, when u turn it on, whoever put it back together didnt do it properly. |

| 570582 | 2007-07-20 11:26:00 | Does your mboard have a LED which stays on when there is power supplied (no matter if the computer is turned on or off)? There is an LED which indicates (according to the manual) whether the system is "on, in sleep mode, or in soft-off mode" - which is not on when it's plugged in and switched on on the PSU at the back. Presumably it should be... If you cant hear a click or something The button on the front clicks mechanically (the plastic) but it does that when the computer's not plugged in. Nothing else. |

| 570583 | 2007-07-20 11:40:00 | I think the LED should be on. Does the PSU have a 110V/240V switch? Is any power cable in the case looks like disconnected? | developer (4447) | ||
