572368 2007-07-25 00:10:00 I have just installed Office 2007, silly me. Now all my incoming mail, which I try to receive through my xtra address in Outlook Express, through MailWasher, gets transferred to MS Outlook. I only used Outlook for the Calendar. However I now find Google's calendar better for me.

Is there any way I can download my emails into Outlook Express without MS Outlook taking over?

Thanks for any help,
Pat.

572369 2007-07-25 00:13:00 Setting OE as your default email app and removing your xtra details from Outlook should do the trick

You may have to check settings in MailWasher too, I havn't had first hand experience with that program so am not certain, no doubt someody else will know.

572370 2007-07-25 00:23:00 You dont have to remove Xtra from Outlook.

Just run OE go to tools / options / General tab. Click on this application is the default mail handler.

572371 2007-07-25 00:59:00 Thank you very much wratterus and Speedy Gonzales for your very prompt and most helpful solutions. This problem has already turned me grey ( I'm 85) and I was just about ready to tear my hair out.

I'm most grateful,
Pat.
