572394 2007-07-25 00:39:00 Hi everyone,

I’ve been trying to get my modem + router to work together with port forwarding and I just cant do it.

The two that I’m using are a Linksys AG241 DSL router, and a D-Link DWL-925 wireless AP.

I can get internet to work fine on the D-Link switch and wireless fine, but I can’t port forward for Azureus.

I’ve opened the ports I’ve selected on Azureus in both routers, and in windows firewall – and it works fine when I;m plugged into the Linksys – so it must be a communication problem between the two.

I’ve tried a few things and just can’t get it to work. The linksys is 192.168.1.1 and the Dlink is 192.168.1.111. I’ve tried setting DMZ on the linksys for 192.168.1.111 – I would have thought that would basically make the Linksys think the D-Link was a part of it? I’ve also tried setting DMZ on the D-Link for the Linksys address, and also my pc address.

I’m trying to get it so I can have my PC wireless, and be able to use it for torrents if I ever want to, at the moment I can only get torrents to work if im plugged straight into the Linksys.

Does anyone have any ideas, or have even done it themselves?

Thanks!

572395 2007-07-25 00:43:00 Have you tried disabling the DHCP server and the firewall on the DLink? Id try that, reboot the modem, the access point and your PC and try again. I run a similar setup with no problems, but only the modem (not the access point) has a firewall and DHCP enabled. Good luck. wratterus (105)
