572988 2007-07-28 02:04:00 sure is; if given the choice between function and looks many people choose looks.

but better yet is function AND looks, and that is when products/designers/engineers can become truly successful

it's the things like the porche 911 that succeed; beautiful, powerful, functional and practical (for a sports car)

The ideal scenario would be that the computer hardware runs silently, looks awesome in your living room and the OS does what you want it to do. That would be the complete package.

For those who want one and can afford to own one the Porsche 9xx series are classic in their design and awesome in their performance.

Hmmm, I don't know too many Windows PCs that come with backlight keyboards unless someone wants to correct me?

Hmmm, Not only is my PC not ugly, operates at a whisper, But its in my dining room running a 21 inch monotor and a set of 2.1 speakers...Last thing I would want is the damn thing in my living room...which is why its hooked up to the TV and stereo in the living room via hidden cables, and controled by my damn fine logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.

And of course this is networked up to the rig (loaded to the hilt with media) which is located in the home theatre and runs the projector and killer audio system in there. The home theatre PC is reasonably ugly but hidden from view by the row of lazy boys, Incidently this runs a backlit keyboard....

Then of course my Asus laptop talks to the lot of them via wireless....:D

And my god, all of them are gaming rigs, Sounds like the complete package to me.

i don't know of any machines that come with entirely clear acrylic cases either;

i enjoy the near unlimited choice the pc offers me, i enjoy not being locked into certain overpriced brands of hardware and i enjoy not being locked into what others consider style and like to add my own personal touch - from the ground up:p

I wasn't knocking your PC case motorbyclist, I was just saying that I wasn't aware of any PC keyboards that were backlit and as it was you were able to inform me of a PC brand keyboard that was backlit. I am delighted that your happy with your setup. As it stands I am delighted with mine too.:)
