573795 2007-07-29 01:23:00 I haven't been able to download anything from this site for several days now ... is it just me or are others having trouble too? I keep getting directed to this site as the nearest geographical server (Sydney, Australia), but nothing happens. I can't access the site via FlashGet either, it just keeps retrying but not a byte comes through. On the SourceForge.net page if I click the link "Select a different mirror?" the page just goes a dark shade, it says "loading" but nothing happens :groan: Rod J (451)
573796 2007-07-29 02:02:00 BTW these are the links I was using:
optusnet.dl.sourceforge.net
optusnet.dl.sourceforge.net

573797 2007-07-29 02:07:00 Yeah, optusnet hasn't been working for me either

Can you give a link to the actual project itself?

573798 2007-07-29 02:13:00 It's a configuration problem within the sourceforge system. Just pick a different mirror and all will be well. Here's hoping they fix it soon. Erayd (23)

These are the links that referred me to the OptusNet site:

573800 2007-07-29 06:26:00 I hate to say this but try using Internet Explorer 6 just for the download, that is what I do, it always works. zqwerty (97)

I'm using Internet Explorer 7, but as I said in my first post, I can't download from that site using FlashGet (a download manager) either.

It definitely looks like a problem at the other end, as Mejobloggs and Bletch said. At least I know it's not just me that has a problem.

Thanks all.

573802 2007-07-29 07:07:00 Nope, that is not what I meant, you need to use no download manager they never work for me on that site. zqwerty (97)
573803 2007-07-29 07:43:00 I was trying to DL GParted from there today... F/fox and IE no luck. Annoying but any other 'sources' all point their downloads to Sourceforge so you just go around in a circle.

Ahhh I love Linux... still (said with a slightly maniac quiver in my voice)

573804 2007-07-29 08:27:00 Yup, theres quite a few sites that dont like download managers like flashget or Getright.

Not much you can do about it, but disable it.
