| 573623 | 2007-07-28 22:00:00 | Hi, I have a three-PC network connected with a 5-port ethernet switch: 1x desktop; 2x HTPCs (one in main lounge which acts as a server also & one in bedroom which acts as a client). I have a number of folders, all but one is one a single SATA HDD, on the server, & only some are visible in 'my network places'. Yet, if I click on 'view workgroup computers' then on the server HTPC all the folders are visible & accessible. I need to have them visible from within 'my network places' so I can access them via my Mediaportal frontend on my bedroom HTPC. The desktop is running XP Home & the HTPCs are using MCE2005 (only the client PC is using Mediaportal. The server is using the default MCE shell). I have tried disabling simple file sharing on the main HTPC (server unit) & altering the the permissions ect to no avail. Any ideas. thanks. |
