| 573365 | 2007-07-27 23:53:00 | I save all my messages in .msg format. The thing is that when I save every message the default file type is HTML as I am sure you all know. Every time I save a message I have to use the pull down and change the file type. My question is; can I change the default setting so it will be in .msg format to begin with? |

Save them all into a folder and you can run a bulk renamer over them all to change the file extension. Of you can just drag and drop your messages into a folder that way they retain their msg format and also they retain any html formatting and attachments. But if you must backup the easiest way is what berryb said and export them to .pst |
