573726 2007-07-29 03:18:00 Might be a good idea to tell us what the prob is.

Like is it working / but cutting out or something, or its not going at all.

Is it asking for drivers or something?

Does it need batteries?

What you've said, doesnt tell us anything at all.

Except thats its a cordless mouse.

573727 2007-07-29 03:26:00 Trackballs are different to use, as are touchpads on laptops.
I've been using them for several years & hate going back to a mouse now.
As you dont need to move them around they don't require much benchspace.
They do need cleaning out more often though as dust & stuff off your hands gets down the sides of the ball.

573728 2007-07-29 05:12:00 There is a knack with Trackballs, everyone hates using my computer in my home office and at work as both are Trackballs. They can take some getting used to.

They seem to require a more subtle touch of the thumb and hand/fingers by comparsion to a standard move it about mouse. Some Trackballs are harder to use than others but once you get the feel for it, they tend to fit your hand well.

They don't like grease or oil from say fish and chips, that can cause them to stutter about, you also need to pop the ball out once in a while and clean any dust off the roller bearings that the ball itself rides over.

Being cordless, once the batteries get down a bit, you might find your mouse arrow start to stutter about as well though that can apply to any battery mouse.

They can harder to use if using for graphics work though.

Myself, I have trouble with your standard everyday mouse after so many years of using a trackball.
