| 575103 | 2007-08-01 20:33:00 | What would be the best method (besides nuking my laptop) to totally uninstall Nortons Protection Centre? And also what would be the best replacement, free or paid for? Thanks all! |

| 575104 | 2007-08-01 20:49:00 | Morning. Uninstall everything from the add/remove programs (norton, symantec, live update, live reg) Download (www.softpedia.com) the Norton removal tool, run that, then Norton will be gone. For free a/v software, avast seems to be pretty good, while one you pay for, Nod32 seems to blitz almost everything else out there. Edit: If you want a firewall too ZoneAlarm seems to be popular, although I havn't used it so can't give any first hand advice. Adaware, Ccleaner and Spybot are always good for getting rid of other nasties. |
