575012 2007-08-01 09:07:00 I'm seeking help from someone who's au fait with this music editing programme. I can't seem to be able to manually move the vertical play marker bar to a particular point on the music spectrum where I want to do some editing. The only way I can get it to move is to actually play the music and watch the marker make its s-l-o-w journey in real time towards the point I have chosen - maybe 20 or more minutes. There must be a quick simple way to be able to drag it using the mouse but I haven't found it. I have tried the "Help" section but I'm obviously not asking the right question. Here's hoping willbry (1555)
575013 2007-08-01 09:39:00 Hi willbry

Either click within the grey area of the trace window and the marker will snap to a "hand" cursor, or go to Edit>Snap On and the marker will snap to wherever you click.

575014 2007-08-01 20:18:00 Thanks JonB .It's easy when you know how. Will give it a go with my next editing . It's a good programme isn't it if you can get the hang of all the options. willbry (1555)

I've got three years into it and STILL don't know them all...not be a long shot!

BTW: you spelled "program" incorrectly, -3 points

575018 2007-08-02 12:10:00 OK, so you've sorted out program/programme between you.

But why malign my summer favourite?
One = tomato (no e)
Two = tomatoes ( s for plural)

So where did you find tomatoe, PJ?

(As you can see, I haven't anything interesting to do right now.
Sorry, willbry)

575019 2007-08-02 18:20:00 Get a track you dont like, and one by one try all the different effects and rules so you can get the general idea .

I did it for a couple of hours and ended making a song I like out of one I didnt .
