574597 2007-07-31 10:17:00  Is it just my computer, or is it visible on other's machines?

If I select the BLOGS button at the top of the screen, an advert for HP appears and will not let me read the Blog. If I click on the advert, I get some graphic for Hewlett Packard and Microsoft on the screen.

System here is a Celeron 2.4 with 512 megs of Ram. OS is PCLinuxOS 2007 and the browser is Firefox 2.0.0.4. Firewall is the default Shorewall and it is up to the mark as is evidenced by use of the ShieldsUp test.

I usually check out Geoff Palmer's Tux Love Blogs every few days to see if there is anything of interest there. They are always more interesting than an advert for some hardware that I don't want, using an operating system that I got rid of from my system 2 years ago.

574605 2007-07-31 20:44:00 Can't be either IE7 or Vista at this end. This computer has never heard of either. Firefox 2.0.0.4 has the Pop Up Blocker turned On. So, it has got me stumped. Might try to upgrade to FF 2.0.0.6
