574396 2007-07-30 23:57:00 The above says it all. Someone here at work thought she'd email her wedding photos and went ahead. The result is we have a huge (I have no idea - probably 60MB) email message which can't seem to get out and hangs the pc whenever OE is opened.

Can't delete the message from Outbox because it just hangs when Outbox opens.

I've turned off AVG but it hasn't helped.

What would happen if I searched for the .dbx Outbox and deleted it? If I can that is?

574397 2007-07-31 00:05:00 That's all you should need to do. Make sure you tell it to search for hidden files, delete the outbox.dbx and next time you open OE it will re-create the file. wratterus (105)
574398 2007-07-31 00:08:00 Sorry for being flippant, but there is a Cockeral next door that I would like to see hanging. With its throat cut. PJ:groan: Poppa John (284)
574399 2007-07-31 05:20:00 Thanks Watterus, that did the trick. All good now. Winston001 (3612)
574400 2007-07-31 05:24:00 You could have gone into your webmail and deleted it too. Speedy Gonzales (78)
574401 2007-07-31 05:29:00 Speedy, wan't the message in the outbox? Not sent yet? Besides, most ISPs have some limit on the size of email you can send. Orcon and KOL are 25MB, not sure about the others. Just to stop the email servers getting overloaded I guess. So assuming that was the case, she couldn't have uploaded the email anyway.;) wratterus (105)
