574768 2007-08-01 13:31:00 Ghost 2003 eh?...

I could definitely be interested in that, if it runs off a cd or disk on it's own. Without having to install bloatware.

574771 2007-08-01 22:17:00 Yes I know, but that's because the latest Norton offerings are rubbish.

I've been a member here for seven years and back in 2002/2003, beleive it or not, but Norton Antivirus was the most recommended antivirus on this site. Ask oldtimers I recognise like tweak'e, Poppa John, Graham Lees, etc.

I have no problem chucking it, but thought someone may want it.

i do apolgise for recommending Nortons.

2003 was the last ver i used, i had enough of it crashing and dieing on a regualry basis. the early version where not to bad but the later just got worse and worse. not to mention the large updates that you required after every reinstall.

in contrast AVG hasn't missed a beat.

please bin it. i don't want any more poor souls detroyed by it. besides being such an old version its getting well past it used by date.

if you have got systemworks there are some handy tools on it IF you can install them without the bloated main GUI.

574772 2007-08-01 22:19:00 I'd take it just for the copy of Ghost though.... wratterus (105)
574773 2007-08-01 23:36:00 I’d be happy to pay for it as long as it had Ghost – Windoctor – Speedisk – Cleansweep etc.

Like the others I’m not interested in the AV and Security Programmes.

574774 2007-08-02 01:29:00 Not professional version, so has everything EXCEPT Ghost. I'm going to try and copy that old instant kiwi ad and try out my 12 guage on it. Not sure how to make it fly as CD's never fly straight.

P.S>Jen - My PC died and I was a poor uni student and couldn't afford to replace it, that's why I initially disappeared. Then when I got a job and bought a new PC I was too busy. I'm only back of sorts - pop in now and again for a look. Now I'm not a bum uni student I don't have all that much time to spend on here. Great resource still and if work ever gets quiet I'll have more time. (like that will ever happen).
