574755 2007-08-01 03:21:00 How about popping the disk on the main road and seeing how many cars swerve to hit it? :p wratterus (105)
574756 2007-08-01 03:23:00 I've been a member here for seven years and back in 2002/2003, beleive it or not, but Norton Antivirus was the most recommended antivirus on this site. Ask oldtimers I recognise like tweak'e, Poppa John, Graham Lees, etc.

Yeah, I remember you Graham. You're an Otago Old Boy. :)

It was nice of you to offer but the program isn't going to be of any use to anyone as it won't be able to protect against the latest viruses and worms, they are much more sophisticated now. Much better for people to use one of the free AVs available instead.

Personally I would use the CD as a coffee cup coaster, otherwise just biff it in the bin or do whatever you normally do to unwanted, used CDs.

574761 2007-08-01 06:02:00 From the member formally known as Graham Petrie. (forums.pcworld.co.nz)Hey, you went AWOL for sometime. Good to see you're back. :)

I think a lot of people skimmed over the Systemworks part. This includes Ghost 2003 - still very handy on the older PC's (non-sATA). It also includes Nortons Utilities which isn't too bad. You can pick and choose the components to install. I would think the AV engine would be out of date and possibly not supported by Symatec with engine updates anymore.
