576292 2007-08-04 01:14:00 Lately while Googling images, the first 5 might show (if im lucky, sometimes none do) and to get the rest to show I have to click refresh or go numerous times for one or two more to show up each time.

Leaving the page 'loading' doesn't do anything.

Sometimes webpages don't fully load either, and I have to click 'go' or 'refresh' a few times real quick, and even then sometimes it won't load.

So, *** is wrong?? It's so damn annoying. It seems to be ever since I installed Kaspersky AV, yet turning it off doesn't fix it. I have no viruses/spyware.

Am using the latest version of Firefox, Windows XP and no, it's not my broadband.

576293 2007-08-04 03:58:00 I was having the same problem a while back. It got really bad, but then Telecom reset the ports in my exchange, and I haven't had near the amount of problems since. I still have the occasional occurances of web pages failing to load however.
Maybe it's an Xnet issue?

576294 2007-08-04 10:01:00 Even after rebooting the modem a few times, still the same problem. Sometimes pages won't load at all, and I have to copy the URL, close browser, open new browser, paste URL. --Wolf-- (128)
576295 2007-08-04 10:05:00 Are you using FasterFox, if not get it here and set it to Optimised or even higher.

It will send many more page requests without your having to do it.

576297 2007-08-04 22:34:00 gidday,

yeh I've been having the same problems lately, and it did start when I updated firefox. I'm getting the same problems with IE so I dont think it's browser.

But it may well still be the isp I'm with ihug and have broadband, the speeds are ok, but they have a notice on their web site, concerning slow and intermitent loading of web pages.

very frustrating, but I'm just waiting see to if there are any improvement in the future.

cheers,

Robbie

576298 2007-08-05 00:09:00 I am using FasterFox now, and it is set to Turbo Charged.

I am still having the same problems though (and I had done some of those tricks before, beeswax)

Up to 100 seconds on the FasterFox timer and the images in a Google image search still aren't showing. *** is going on? I am going to try and reset my ports now and see if that helps.

576299 2007-08-05 04:23:00 gidday again,

got a bit sick of this sticky nonsense, so I temporarily Installed another browser, called K meleon its a bit fiddly to get it do what you want, but it has proved be quicker, albeit still a wee bit sticky when loading pages and links.

cheers,

Robbie
