577083 2007-08-06 07:01:00 i have a notebook with vista installed, it gives you 3 power options, the
1. balanced,
2 the power saver,
3 the hight performance.

no matter which one i choose they always but your notebook into hibernate when the battery has 10% left. it is so annoying 4 me because for some reason i just want the battery to run dead, are there any way to stop the hibernate function? there must be a way but i just can't find it.

any sort of help will be appreciated. thank you so much.

577084 2007-08-06 07:31:00 Go to the power options area of the control panel.

Choose "Change Plan Settings" for the plan you want to alter.

Choose "Change Advanced Power Settings"

Under "Battery", you can change the "Action" for the relevant battery state.

577085 2007-08-06 09:48:00 thanks for the reply.
but the thing is: Under "Battery-critical battery actions", there are 3 actions: sleep, shut down and hibernate.
what i really want is it does nothing until the battery dies. but there is no such a choice as "do nothing".
are there anyway that i can make it "do nothing" when the battery reaches critical level?

thanks

577088 2007-08-08 12:13:00 you will also find that most laptops can run for a while on 0% battery power.
I have timed my one and i get between 23 and 27 minutes of gaming on my laptop even though it says 0% remaining!
