576346 2007-08-04 05:39:00 Going to sell my old pc but can't find a reasonable price. Going well.
XP Pro with discs, fully installed with all current updates/patches. (Upgrade but comes with Win98, slipstreamed SP2)
Athlon 64 3200+, MSI 7030, 2 Gb ram, RADEON 9600 SEC 125 Mb Graphics card, 40 Gb + 120 Gb Hard drives. Keyboard and USB mouse. Also webcam and Zip Drive.
Plus a whole heap of decent installed software, including Acronis and backups.
Monitor is a 17"crt (with a mark on screen)

576347 2007-08-04 05:43:00 Is the "whole heap of decent installed software" legal? That PC is worth $400 tops, its pretty average by todays standards. If the software is legal and you have the CD's you'd probably get more money selling them separately on TradeMe. Pete O'Neil (6584)
576348 2007-08-04 05:52:00 The monitor is worth about $20 winmacguy (3367)
576349 2007-08-04 08:49:00 The memory pushes the value up - 2GB is just above average. :) pcuser42 (130)
576350 2007-08-04 19:57:00 If my experience is anything to go by, you'll be lucky to get $300. JJJJJ (528)
576351 2007-08-04 21:57:00 Speakers? And I supposed when you have a webcam, you normally have a microphone as well?

Cheers :)

576352 2007-08-04 22:13:00 No Speakers, sorry. My Creative 7.1 box died.
Yeah, $300 was about my expectation.
All my software is from downloads but have genuine serials. I'll provide a disc with all burnt on.
Cheers people.

576353 2007-08-05 05:56:00 If you're just looking for opinions on its worth, fine.

But if you're hoping someone here may be interested in making an offer, you should say where you are.

Freight versus pickup can make a big difference.

576354 2007-08-05 08:45:00 Thanks Laura - in Hamilton but would prefer sell locally to someone who wants to check it out first. Don't want any dis-satisfied buyers. Fishb8 (484)
576355 2007-08-05 11:35:00 You should have no trouble selling for at least 400. Would personally be looking more around the 600 mark.
I have just sold a pc that was a 2200+ AMD Duron, 256mb RAM, 80GB hdd, 32mb integrated gfx, keyboard, mouse, speakers, xp home sp2 patched etc. 17"crt, open office several other pieces of software for $350.
2GB of ram is plenty for xp pro. and the cpu is pretty speedy for the average user, gfx card fine, unless you are a hardcore gamer, and plenty of hard drive space. I wouldn't settle for any less than $450
