2007-08-06 03:49:00 | From explorer, right click,properties, tools, error-checking, tick both, it will want to do a reboot! | SolMiester (139) | |
2007-08-06 05:25:00 | thanks Sol, In the process now, hope this fixes it. | theother1 (3573) | |
2007-08-06 06:20:00 | Start, run, type 'cmd', enter, change to the disk you wish to check, then type 'chkdsk' and hit enter. If it says the volume is in use, it will give an option to select y/n to run the check on restart. Type "y", hit Enter. This is supposed to run chkdsk for each subsesequent startup until disabled by cancelling the scan within the alotted time.

2007-08-06 07:42:00 | Hi Guys I am having problems with the computer I use at work. Keep getting the error message above and would be grateful for a simple fix. I thought I had a free one in RegCure until they asked me to register it for $39.95.:( My god, a work computer stuffed full of Spyware!!!! Run Spybot and AdAware as well as Hijackthis on it. And naughty, naught, tell the IT person off for being so careless with a work machine.

2007-08-06 22:57:00 | PC Tech, thanks for your input. Actually there is no spyware in it. I have run adaware etc. The problem is that the thing is sloooow and I am trying to sort out that issue. For the rest of you out there I have done everything suggested so far. The computer still can't cope with more than one application being opened at a time. Programs freeze etc. I haven't had the virtual memory error since I increased the page size. But it is still crap.
