576788 2007-08-05 08:30:00 Does it show a brand on the mobo? Like Gigabyte or similar?

Looks like K8M800/8237 / KM800-8237, could be Gigabyte or PC chips.

You sure its not GA-K8VM800M ?

576791 2007-08-05 09:19:00 Glad you know what you are doing, as all the times I put those numbers in, all I got were people in forums with the same problem as I have already got.

Thanks heaps for all your help, I am downloading that driver, sound only I presume, and will install it on her computer as soon as it downloads and see if it works. Thanks again.

576792 2007-08-05 09:24:00 Audio is all you need for the moment, 30.47Mb-As long as they are the right ones / board, then I would suggest downloading all drivers once you have it up and going, and burn them to a CD, that way if you ever need them you'll have them.

Glad to be able to help:)
