| 576447 | 2007-08-04 15:45:00 | Well I don't necessarily want to be anonymous online but at least fool other websites into thinking I'm a different computer every time I choose. Now I've tried using proxies but the problem I've found is that they're terrible when it comes to consistancy. What I mean by this is 90% of the ones I try to use are either amazingly slow or they just don't work at all. And I've found these proxies off lots off sites that are supposedly updated every day. So are there any other ways to fool other sites into thinking I'm a different computer every time I choose, or maybe a program that masks my computer information and then displays something else to a website which it can then change when I want to appear as yet another different computer? ~Tracer |

| 576453 | 2007-08-04 21:35:00 | You could try the Tor (tor.eff.org/) plugin, or XeroBank (http:) browser but this wont solve your speed problem, these services tend to go at a snail's pace. www.tubethru.com www.proxii.org I'm not a regular user of proxies so I dont know many others. |

| 576455 | 2007-08-04 22:57:00 | I checked out Tor but I'm a bit confused at what it actually does. I know it will change my IP address and encrypt my data but what about things such as the browser I'm using or my computer name and identifying information like that. Is all that information witheld or changed when I choose to appear as a different computer on Tor? Basically anything that a game website can use to identify me needs to be witheld or changed when I choose. |
