A clive posted you have to go to Esets site, download the online installer www.eset.co.nz And run it, it will upgrade to the latest version of 9 and keep all your settings. The reason I was given ( when speaking to the Eset Distributors) Is the actual engine in V9 is different to previous versions. The Previous versions were all built on top of the original , and V9 is totally rebuilt from the ground up, the upgrade feature in V8 is not compatible with upgrading to V9, BUT the online installer is. Sounds a bit odd to me, but that's what they said. They have Also changed the licencing, they now use a Licence key instead of a user Name and password, you can convert your current user Name and password ela.eset.com When using the online installer it does this automatically. |
