1418328 2016-03-27 22:41:00 What version of NOD 32 is everyone using? I have version 8, and the update check says I have the latest, but I believe there is a version 9 now. Does anybody have this? Richard (739)

1418331 2016-03-27 23:15:00 Why won't mine update then from 8.0.319.0??? I am still told this is the latest version!!! Richard (739)
1418332 2016-03-28 00:24:00 If you go to Esets site you can download the update to 9 from there. That is what I did, from memory I was following Wainui's advice when I did so. CliveM (6007)
1418333 2016-03-28 00:50:00 Why won't mine update then from 8.0.319.0??? I am still told this is the latest version!!! A clive posted you have to go to Esets site, download the online installer www.eset.co.nz And run it, it will upgrade to the latest version of 9 and keep all your settings.

The reason I was given ( when speaking to the Eset Distributors) Is the actual engine in V9 is different to previous versions. The Previous versions were all built on top of the original , and V9 is totally rebuilt from the ground up, the upgrade feature in V8 is not compatible with upgrading to V9, BUT the online installer is.

Sounds a bit odd to me, but that's what they said.

They have Also changed the licencing, they now use a Licence key instead of a user Name and password, you can convert your current user Name and password ela.eset.com

When using the online installer it does this automatically.

1418337 2016-03-31 23:29:00 It's quite important if you're upgrading to Win10 to install v.9 first. wratterus (105)
