1418132 2016-04-03 06:15:00 My computer won't install an ISO file of W8.1 off my USB because at the last part of the install it say my graphics driver is not upto date. So does this mean that the computer is not recognising it? Have tried all suggested and it still won't install the last update. The same error 80073712. The error for installing the ISO is 0x101-0x40019 karbren (14078)

The error for installing the ISO is 0x101-0x40019 Bad or corrupted graphic drivers can be the cause of all the problems.

Download the following uninstaller www.guru3d.com The links are down the page a bit, get the latest 15.7.5.3. The normal inbuilt uninstaller only removes part of them.

Start the computer in safe mode as it will want to anyway to uninstall the drivers. Run the program. Once uninstalled and rebooted, you should be able download new drivers for your card. Window update should have a better chance of running.

If you install new drivers and it still freezes this can mean theres a fault in the card and it will need replacing, OR theres so much corruption the only real way to fix it is save all your data, reinstall windows from fresh.

1418134 2016-04-03 09:24:00 Hi wainuitech I downloaded it and ran it in safe mode. It completely removed like it is meant too. I have just downloaded Ge-force Experience and are awaiting it to load so I can update the driver. It downloaded and is installing. All good so far. Trying to install the last Windows update so I can try W8.1. Not sure whether to download it from the app store or use the ISO.. karbren (14078)
1418135 2016-04-03 10:07:00 Ok it downloaded from the windows app store and did its thing till it gets to the last part before starting and freezes so now its winding back to W8. So a corrupt graphics card? karbren (14078)
1418136 2016-04-03 11:02:00 Sorry I forgot to add the error code as it had changed. 0x1900101-0x30018. I checked this out and tried to fix it. I am trying to re-install W8.1 now so lets hope this time karbren (14078)
1418137 2016-04-03 13:28:00 Do a clean install then. Sounds like youre trying to update from within windows. Looks like you can get that 0x1900101-0x30018 error if something like AVG or Tuneup utils is installed

And if you updated the sata drivers, this may also cause this error

1418138 2016-04-04 10:08:00 I started with a clean install of W8 and have tried to update to 8.1. I don't have any anti-virus software. I only added ccleaner. I still have one update that won't install as it gives the same error 80073712. I tried again last night and got a new error 0xC1900101-0x4000D. The errors keep changing after I try different things. Not sure why it freezes or stops in the first boot phase or the second. So your saying to wipe the HDD again and load the ISO? karbren (14078)
1418139 2016-04-04 10:48:00 Well you'll have to use rufus or something if it's an ISO. Since an ISO isnt bootable with a clean install Speedy Gonzales (78)
1418140 2016-04-04 11:00:00 I couldn't get rufus to work karbren (14078)
