1412455 2015-12-10 00:42:00 We pay $50 a month. That's expensive?

SoHo, HD Ticket and Sport and MySky we pay over 150.

1412457 2015-12-11 05:46:00 Never had Sky, never will. Nor do we see the point in getting Lightbox or Netflix, all they do is cost you money, recycle garbage and give you square eyes.

There is enough programming on Channels 1, 2, 3, & 4 + Maori, Prime, and Choice to keep any sane person occupied, Then there's +1 for channels 1-4 and 'On Demand' for 1-4 and Choice, so you can schedule your viewing to suit your interests.

If you can't find enough viewing from that lot (free) then I reckon you need to get a life.

The only fly in the ointment is Prime, which charges for On Demand, so you watch them first.

Cheers

Like what?

We prefer the docos . Like the one on Quantum Physics the other night .
Or recently finished - WWI war diaries - this not so much the soldiers, but others who kept diaries . . . . kids etc .
The 15 yr old girl who followed her dad and ended up fighting with the cossacks .
The 12 yr old French boy .
The aussie woman stuck in Leipzig .

Don't find that stuff on even Prime - which does recycle some of the docos .

Fiction - I read .

1412460 2015-12-12 00:20:00 I did same and am getting used to new interface although it is slow to respond which is annoying. I haven't found one thing I'd like to watch from On Demand. A little red card titled Safe Keeping came with the connection and it reads "You'll notice an extra cable at the back of your telly, hold onto it. In the not too distant future we'll be giving you the option of hooking up to an incredible world of IP connection content. Terms will apply, we'll keep you posted". Looking at the back of my TV I "notice" various cables none of which seem "extra" so no idea what that is about.

this is in reply to Jen's post #16
