1412423 2015-12-07 19:32:00 Easy - if you can get a phone which is better in every way, for the same or less amount of $$, surely one is crap compared to the other?

You're overstating your case, a perfectly functional phone that's maybe not quite as good is not the same as being crap. It's not like it won't work.

1412424 2015-12-07 21:00:00 I'm with Nick G. Never liked TouchWiz and for the $20 difference the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 has a better camera, performs faster, nicer screen.

I'd definitely go the Smart Ultra 6 over the Galaxy J5 myself as well.

1412425 2015-12-08 22:32:00 Have a look at this one from PBTech (they're not too far from you - in Penrose) - Motorola Moto E

www.pbtech.co.nz

Or spend a little more on this one:

www.pbtech.co.nz(2014-2nd-Gen.)-BLACK-Dual-SIM-5inc

At least these two phones don't have the crappy intrusive manufacturer overlay (Touchwiz) that Samsung rubbish does. This is as close to a 'pure' Android experience as you can get without buying a Nexus device...

that ones tempting, Dual sim so I could get rid of one of my phones. Im carrying around 3 at the mo (2 for work, + personal ph)
At what size do ph's get too big to carry around for every day use, for those that dont have a purse :)

Some of us do like touchwiz, as thats what Im used to. The drop down buttons to easily turn off wifi & data with one ~click~ is a great feature of Samsungs .

Those drop down buttons are just a Samsung-flavoured implementation of a standard Android feature (which is far more intuitive in a vanilla Android device).

I have a Nexus 6 (Motorola) so probably can't comment on size - I have large hands so using it is fine, but it does make it a little uncomfortable to sit down with it in my front jeans pocket. I think size comes down to personal taste/need...

1412430 2016-01-02 20:46:00 Santa has made up his mind and gave me a Samsung Galaxy Note 5. It's a great device with large 5.7" screen. I don't need to wear my reading glasses to send a txt. bk T (215)
