1412159 2015-12-02 00:36:00 Ah, yes they do. Animals have no concept of the morals of cruelty/abuse.
Animals treat other animals horrifically .

But not for thrills.

For territory, for food, for breeding.

Not for sick serial killer thrills, or mad religious dogma or all the other reasons humans are vicious to each other.

Haven't eaten it for years I've seen veal crates in use overseas its scarily horrific

Correction a fox in the hen-house will often kill all the chooks and not bother to eat them. I've also seen a stoat do the same to a nest of baby rabbits, chased each one down and killed it but didn't eat them. So yes it does happen in the animal world too.

No argument. For territory.

Afraid not a fox or a stoat is doing it for the pure killing frenzy not any other reason.

Possibly, but do they enjoy it or is it just the nature of being a stoat?

In any case humans are definitely among the few species who kill for sport or pleasure and it's not one of our more admirable traits.
Even if you can prove other animals do the same it doesn't make it right, that's the schoolyard "he did it first" excuse.
Also as far as I know we are the only species that farms other animals for the express purpose of eating them.

We are not alone, other primates have been observed killing without apparent reason and anyone who's watched their "lovely" pet cat get it's hands on a small animal and torture it for ages knows they aren't particularly nice to other animals either. Letting a mouse go repeatedly only to catch it again and belt it around is rather cruel but again, that's just a cat being a cat.

I'm still not giving up meat, too damn tasty.

1412166 2015-12-02 09:44:00 Its nothing to do with eating meat. I accept that the Bobby (male) calves are not wanted, but there is no reason to mistreat them during their short lives. I have found most of the dairy and pig farms to be very inefficient.
*build more dams to prevent flooding and provide irrigation
*turn the cow dung into gas to provide electricity, use the bi products as manure. This power could also be used to produce Ghee (clarified butter) which is in great demand by the Indian and Asian community.

Chimpanzees can be atrociously vicious for no other reason than dominance within a tribe. And of course they're known to attack and kill human children.
