1412448 2015-12-08 00:38:00 We chucked Sky early this year. Like Cic, we opted for services like Netflix and Lightbox. Totally sick of the History Channel being repeats of the same film footage about the Nazis and WW11, recycled endless times with different scripts. Most of the rest of Sky was repeats, and we came to the conclusion that the only reason to have Sky was for sports. Seeing we didn't have that interest, we chucked it when we moved house.

We had to return the decoder to the depot in ChCh, and whilst I was there, there was a constant stream of people coming in and returning decoders - it looked like there might have been a lot of disgruntled customers.

1412450 2015-12-08 08:24:00 I don't see what the issue is. My Sky box got upgraded a week ago and I ordered the (no charge to 'borrow') wireless connection option. Easy to set up. The new user interface took a wee bit of getting used to, but it's all OK now. :)

Sky had to do something to remain competitive against Netflix, Lightbox etc.

Being reasonably priced would certainly help.

We still have Sky, sadly I doubt we will be able to afford it much longer.

1412452 2015-12-09 00:31:00 I actually really like the new UI. Looks much more modern and clean, and I haven't noticed any slowdown, if anything I think it's quicker. wratterus (105)

That's more than Lightbox & Netflix combined so yeah.
Also doesn't that mean you don't get any movies or sport ?
