| 578162 | 2007-08-08 07:56:00 | yes this can be done, not too hard either. on your 'main' pc, share the network connection that is currently connected to your server, then your '2nd' should be able to see this connection. Set your '2nd' to automatically get its IP address etc. and you should be away. Let me know how you get on. |

| 578164 | 2007-08-08 08:09:00 | If the server is set to: 10.1.1.1 / 255.0.0.0 then the 'main' should be on something like: 10.1.1.2 / 255.0.0.0. If it is set up like this you should be ok. I will test it on my pc's and let you know how i got on. catch you shortly [edit] just remember in the advanced properties of the network connection to enable other computers to connect through this device. |

| 578166 | 2007-08-08 08:19:00 | Ok, on the Main computer (the middle one) the connection it uses to connect to the server is shared - correct? are you able to see this share on the other pc when connected in via the other network card? Are you sure you have got the 3rd pc set to dynamically get IP address and DNS? |

| 578168 | 2007-08-08 08:34:00 | Ok, so on the middle pc, set the 2nd nic (network interface card) to an ip range, say 10.1.1.* / 255.0.0.0 and do the same for the nic on the xp machine. Then see if you are able to ping FROM the xp machine to the vista machine. Also check your firewalls etc. have you got them blocking ip requests etc? let me know what happens with the pinging. |
