578003 2007-08-08 03:11:00 I have a PDF document that arrived by e-mail.

I printed it and signed it.

Now I wish to e-mail it back.

When I scan it back into my computer I only have the options of saving it in a picture format. I want to convert it to a *.doc.

HOW, HOW ?

Scanner is an HP 3670

Thanks.

578004 2007-08-08 03:13:00 Could you not import it (the scanned image) into a word document and save that?

As a side note open office lets you save a document as a .pdf if you want to do that...

578005 2007-08-08 03:53:00 To convert it to a .doc file you need some OCR software.
OCR software is not always very accurate and you may have to go through the document and correct any mistakes it makes.

578006 2007-08-08 07:51:00 Here (www.adultpdf.com)is a program that will do it for you. Only problem is that it has a large water mark on the coverted .pdf saying that it is unregistered (unless of cause you register it) but as you are only wanting to send an invoice or whatever this should be fine.

Also, if you want to get really technical, you are able to set up a virtual pdf printer on your computer which will do the conversion for you, but can be troublesome to set up. let me know if you want to and i will help you do so.

578007 2007-08-08 10:54:00 If you want to convert the jpg back to a PDF, CutePDF writer ( free) will do it Ok, www.cutepdf.com

All you do is open the jpg in a photo editing program, or paint, select File/print, then select CutePDF writer / print and a save box appears, save it to where you want, and Bingo, New PDF file all set for mailing, and best of all , no water marks.

578008 2007-08-08 11:13:00 I've found PrimoPDF (http://www.primopdf.com/) to be the best, free, PDF creator.
It gives you options on what sort of quality you want the PDF to be and you can save different configs or use the supplied ones.

Go to the Adobe toolbar at the top of the page, choose select text, highlight and copy, then paste into a Word document.

You may have to reformat it a bit, but you'll end up with the full text as an editable signable document. If it has a graphic at the top that you want or need, use the copy image button instead then use edit>paste special>picture to paste it into the doc. Hold down the alt key to drag it smoothly to where you want it and resize by dragging a corner as per normal.

It is quick and easy.

It took me five hours:badpc:

Not sure how I did it, but it's done.
The half meg document that I received as a PDF has now been returned as a 5 meg PDF .And all I did was to sign it.!!!

578011 2007-08-08 21:47:00 Maybe you got a BIG PEN   You can also resize the image to make it smaller before converting to PDF. Heres two programs that will do that.
