| 577848 | 2007-08-07 20:40:00 | Hi I have a problem with Firefox. Whenever I open a htm or html file from a path that contains a space, FF complains that "the file cannot be found" eg C:\Files and Folders\File.htm will not open but c:\Firefox\File.htm will. IE 7 works fine on the same file. This is really annoying because FF is my default browser and I must click Open With>Internet Explorer to view a local webpage with spaces in it's path. I am using FF 2.0 and Windows XP. PLEASE HELP! |

Simplest way to fix it would be to reinstall Firefox or change your default browser to IE & back to Firefox so that it reregisters the filetypes. If you want to dig deeper you'll need to check your settings in Explorer. In Explorer on XP: Tools / Folder Options / File Types. Select htm and click on Advanced. Select Open under Actions & click Edit. On my PC, under Application I have: C:\<path to exe>\SEAMON~1.EXE -url "%1" & Use DDE is ticked. |
