577805 2007-08-07 17:20:00 Hey everyone, first post :)

Anyway, i just now noticed something very weird, i was just about to uninstall Photoshop however i can't seem to right click and press uninstall . Then when i was clicking around in the uninstall window i noticed only about 5-6 programs were able to be uninstalled .

So i kept on trying different things like downloading uninstall softwares, rebooting etc however so far nothing have worked .

The same thing goes for installing certain softwares all Adobe products and a few others .

Please help me :dogeye:

Regards

577806 2007-08-07 19:11:00 2 hours later, and I see you've not had a hit yet....sorry..

But, welcome to F1...there's will be someone here in a short while after the sun rises on New Zealand and the techs crawl out from wherever they reside during darkness...and you'll get some help.

I, on the other hand, am in the US, near Palm Springs and I just wanted to tell you that your post made it and since your request is important to us, you will be the next to receive an answer....

But...and again I emphasize, NZ is still sleeping. I don't DO Vista at all...so I would be of no help or hope to you anyway.

577808 2007-08-07 19:32:00 I read in a post a few days ago that Adobe stuff requires a special uninstaller. Not sure if that is yr problem but it may help kjaada (253)

577810 2007-08-07 19:43:00 Are you logged in as an administrator or a user?

Isn't that supposed to be one of the big differences between Vista and XP?

The default user in Vista was supposed to be just that...a "user" and not administrator because of all the bad things that happen in that mode with XP

577811 2007-08-07 20:12:00 Why are you right-clicking to uninstall the application?

You should just be left clicking on the remove/uninstall button.

Clicking this button automatically starts the Adobe uninstall application which removes the program.

cheers

PS... change back to XP.... Vista doesn't play nice all the time... and generally isn't worth the time, money or hassle... at least not yet!!!

577812 2007-08-08 05:47:00 Try waiting for a while once you click the uninstall/repair button with left click, alsop if this doesn't work, try finding your program in program files. timmy101 (12484)
