578570 2007-08-09 08:23:00 Ok so you would get the

1 file under video adapter

The Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection under network

The Conexant driver under communications if you have a built in modem

Intel driver under chipset.

Synaptics driver under mouse and keyboards.

Sigmatel driver under Audio

You can get the Intel Diagnostics Utility for the Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection under Network. In case something doesnt work.

Intel HTML under Network

You can get the other files under communication, altho I think theyre optional.

578571 2007-08-09 08:33:00 So in total, 7 files? All but the ones under communication and the modem one (I have a Dlink modem, if thats what it means.)

Haven't had to get this technical for a long time haha, shows how rusty I am with this stuff :)
--Wolf-- (128)
578572 2007-08-09 08:36:00 8 files. Including the Intel HTML the bottom file.

The Dlink modem isnt part of that system (so wont be on the Dell site), you'll have to go to the Dlink site and search for the drivers there.

Then download / install them

578573 2007-08-09 08:47:00 Intel HTML Patch/Upgrade you mean?

I have the d-link cd so I'll just use that to set the net up I think.

578574 2007-08-09 08:54:00 Intel HTML Patch/Upgrade you mean?

If its got the drivers for the modem then yup install whatever is needed off it .

578575 2007-08-09 08:57:00 Yeah, I had that one, but I still only have 7 :S

Unless you miscounted/forgot to tell me one?

Are they in this ? (supportapj.dell.com) I think this is the only one you need. For the onboard LAN.
Speedy Gonzales (78)
578577 2007-08-09 09:10:00 I guess they all came from that last one (which is the same as your first link, which I have)

The list says 7, I only see 7. I have all the (R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection drivers, I think.
--Wolf-- (128)
578578 2007-08-09 09:13:00 Oh well that'll do for now burn them to cd.

We'll soon find out after you've formatted.

Install the files you downloaded, if any entries in device manager show a ? we'll know whats missing.
