578352 2007-08-10 09:40:00 Or "a fool and his money are soon parted". You aren't a NOD32 reseller are you?

Yes I am a reseller of Nod32 BUT have a look through the forums and you will see that MANY people are all saying the same thing, and giving the same advise that Nod32 is the AV to go with, and I'm sure not every one who uses Nod32 is a reseller. Just out of interest here are some test reuslts from Virus Bulletion:

Viruses Missed in the wild over 8 years of testing in the VB100

Nod32 >> 0 Symantec( Norton’s) >>33 AVG >> 392
Trend >> 22 Kaspersky >> 55
CA Vet >> 25 McAfee >> 64
Sophos >>32 E-Trust >> 80

So Nod32 Missed 0 while AVG Missed 392

And thats from independent Testing.

I've had PC's in my work shop that had AVG ( upto date), it said it was clean, Run Nod and pullout anywhere from 10 -100 infections.

In fact just tuesday gone, I had a PC that had AVG , up to date that said it had 5 infections but couldn't clean them, run Nod through it and pulled out 335 infections, both viruses and spyware/malware.

HMMMMMMMM wonder which AV works better!

PS: have a look at page 1 of this post at the comment wratterus makes.

Nuff said.

578354 2007-08-10 09:54:00 That I will agree on  Nortons is like a HUGE hand brake, using up system resources like theres no tomorrow.
I think its actually getting worse not better.

Mind you slight change of pace here, with the new laws that the banks have brought in, about if the security is not good enough on a persons PC that has money stolen from their account, and then the bank can say if the security is not good enough. It will be interesting to see what actually happens.
