578318 2007-08-22 03:34:00  hahahaha Last time I was called a twat was by a self-indulgent, pedantic, delusional egoist who had an unnatural interest in my private body parts.

Sorry mate, I ain't for sale.

Oh well done Greg, you're starting to broaden the type of people who know you to be a twat.

Some day, maybe, you'll come to the sad realisation that lacking desirable wares and buyers is not the same as not trying to punt your wares. Still, if the status quo keeps the little wheels from falling off your trolley, why not.

578319 2007-08-22 03:40:00 Murray, mate, I thought you were going to put it together!!??.....I didnt think much of the paragon cabling.....what is that monster video card, what are the temps on it?, did you install another exhaust fan, or does that card exhaust externally?

Yeah, was going to build it, was dead keen, but needs be and all that. I'll have rebuilt it a couple of times over in the next month or two anyway, cable management and quite cooling being the priorities.

The card is an Asus 8800GTS 640MB.

Haven't done the case fan thing yet, will probably use the 120 off the CPU heatsink for that as it's pretty quite and not needed, even a hinerance, to the airflow from front to back and through the CPU cooler.

What is wrong with it?

Oh, and Jen, I most definitely won . ;) :D

The only sad thing is that you're so inept you couldn't pick up the point that I've never been called a twat by anyone except you . So the above applies . Geez Murray, does everybody have to spell everything out to you? Would coloured pictures help?

ps - and what kind of a girl's blouse name is Murray anyway? It's no wonder you come across as being sexually dysfunctional, you poor thing .

578322 2007-08-23 04:12:00 No, not obvious in your post Greg and I really do hesitate to analyse what's going on in your mind. But you twist it any way you like, keep digging.

Whatever is going on in there is manifesting itself in the unprovoked bile . Your puerile spite is unbefitting someone who has access to a computer let alone a forum. I can only guess that your smugness is born of your anonymity, though what's created the bitter twisted persona you've developed into is anybodys guess.

Seek help, not that I care and you seem to have lost any reason or empathy, so I doubt you do, but really need to get it seen to, besides not being a good look, it's obviously having a very adverse affect on your mental health and capacity to reason appropriately and there must be someone out there who is close and requires the protection that professional help for you may give them.

Get well soon.

578324 2007-08-24 00:54:00 Hmm, has it got dirty yet .

Ok, let's have a crack at starting over .

Why???

Because dear Greg, I like to know when the cat has farted so I can take appropriate action to avoid distasteful consequences, like injury to the cat .

To that end, I like a quiet machine and, the blimmin great heatsink, along with the two 120mm case fans positioned either end of the case are capable of cooling the CPU adequately without the fan (that particular model used to be supplied without a fan) .

I was testing to find out exactly how adequately the CPU would be cooled . As it turned out, the CPU was cooled rather well with marginal temp increase at idle and nothing scary under intensive CPU load .

Now I have a spare (ex CPU) 120mm fan that I can use in place of a slightly buzzy case fan, if I wish .

The next step will be to implement noise dampening, isolation and airflow efficiencies, including cable management .

Mind, pretty much all that info is in the preceding posts, except I didn't mention the flatulent moggy to spare it's precious feelings .

A lot of effort has gone in to routing and tying so it's a good job as it goes, though it could be better if the cables that can be, are routed behind the motherboard tray and exit out the provided holes clower to the motherboard .

578326 2007-08-24 01:16:00 Hi Muzza, hmm, yeah, i didnt think the cabling was that flash mate.....Reckon you could do I better job of it yourself. With my front panel cables, I re-routed them down the left hand side as you look at the front, all the extra cabling then hets hidden behind the motherboard tray, get some spiral cabling in which to gather all little twisted wires into one nice 5mm spiral wire! Any front connections not used etc just left behind the mobo tray....

I have to say, i am glad i got the black one, as after spraying the interier black, and black spiral, cabling tends to disappear!

No offense Muzza, the silver doesnt seem to have the same presence!
