578507 2007-08-09 03:44:00 Does anyone know any Codecs that audiograbber can use that makes mp3's without losing audio quality? manvsmachine (11826)
578508 2007-08-09 03:47:00 I doubt that you could make an mp3 file without loosing audio quality due to the nature of the mp3 codec. You would probably be better off choosing a different codec like ogg vorbis which is much higher quality. winmacguy (3367)
578509 2007-08-09 04:36:00 Flac is the standard lossless format, mp3s can be as good or ****ty as you want to make them, but always with some compression. I don't use audiograbber, doesn't look like it supports any lossless ripping. mmmork (6822)
578510 2007-08-09 21:37:00 Audiograbber doesn't do lossless, but you can use some extreme/insane presets for LAME (the mp3 encoder) that will give you some good sounding mp3s.

Check here (wiki.hydrogenaudio.org) and here (www.cdfreaks.com).

If you want lossless rips, such as FLAC etc, try EAC (http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/) - it's a good mp3 ripper too :)
