579032 2007-08-10 09:38:00 Aha im guessin that that might be the problem... coz my computer is only about a month old since my other one blew up.. My motherboard has built in sound and graphics but i am able to fit a Graphics Card in it and a Sound Card. See when i put a New 128MB graphics card in it my computer kept crashing in the start up and when i managed to get it working by reformatting my computer the built in sound wouldnt work so what i did was use the sound card i put on it instead.. But right now i still have this problem of my Network card not working

What im trying to say is built in things arent actually very good at media. Its better for office work.

579033 2007-08-10 09:39:00 Saran, run hijackthis again tick these entries and tick fix checked. The log looks fine, nothing nasty in it.

Close browser/s.

These are safe

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

If you dont use Nero Home, u can tick this

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NMBgMonitor.exe"

I would use something better than Norton Internet Security tho.

[B]I would tick this entry too. Not sure what it is or does.

O24 - Desktop Component 1: MuggleNet.com Desktop Countdown - www.mugglenet.com

What are you on ? broadband or dialup??

I take it when u said DVD player you installed a DVD-rom in the case? Or did someone else do it?

If the shop installed the DVD, HOPEFULLY they installed it properly!

IDE is what the hard drive and cd/dvd roms are - IDE devices.

Did anyone install any video drivers on this?

did everything and im using broadband...the shop installed the dvd...
