| 579801 | 2007-08-12 03:25:00 | In Word, I've made a ticket. It has space for two fields; date and seat. In Word I have made a database [table] with the dates and seat numbers. I am trying to merge both fields into the ticket. I want only one copy of each ticket per page and I have room for 8 tickets per page. So page one might have 'Saturday 1st' and tickets numbered 1-8. Page two would have 'Saturday 1st' and tickets numbered 9-16. Page three would follow suit until a second date was chosen. I can't figure out if I need a mail merge, a label merge or an envelope merge and I've tried them all. Can someone give me a step-by-step walk through please. Googled to no specific avail. |

When it comes time to print set your advanced printer settings to that size also. If you started out by using the Merge wizard there will be an Insert Field option at the top. Position your cursor and insert the field you need. |

| 579803 | 2007-08-12 03:53:00 | Sorry Bantu bit this isn't helpful. Size is irrelevant and I did say there are 8 tickets per page. I can get the field in the correct place but I want EACH ticket on the page to register a new seat number with the SAME date. I can't do this part. I can get it working for 1 ticket but thats all. How do I make the 'next record' work? Thanks | yorkshirekid (9033) | ||

The Next Record option should be placed before any fields selected from your data base for your second and subsequent records Should look something like this Ticket«Next Record»«TicketNo» where Ticket is descriptive Text and TicketNo is the field from your database Hope this helps |
