579755 2007-08-12 00:36:00 Hi All,

I recently upgraded to Vista Ultimate. After finally getting broadband put in I have now run all of the updates and now have a serious issue with my PC!

For some reason the proccess svchost.exe - running DComLaunch is chewing up all of my processor time! When I bring up the task manager it shows CPU usage at a constant 100% and my computer is very slow to do anything.

Does anyone have any suggestions or will i have to reformat and start again???

Cheers for your help.

Paul

(Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) is a Microsoft proprietary technology for software components distributed across several networked computers to communicate with each other. DCOM, which originally was called "Network OLE", extends Microsoft's COM, and provides the communication substrate under Microsoft's COM+ application server infrastructure. It has been deprecated in favor of Microsoft .NET.)
