579752 2007-08-11 23:45:00 Hi All,
I am writing in a word Document. At the bottom of each page, in the centre, is the page number.
On either side of that No, I want to put text. The same text on every page.
For instance,

XXXXX XXXXXX 1 YY YYYYYYY.

How do I do that. Please. I think it has to do with Auto text or suchlike. Thanks. PJ

579753 2007-08-11 23:56:00 Hi PJ
I use 2003. It works as follows:
Click on View > Header and Footer.
When the Header opens, so too does a short Header and Footer Toolbar.
Click on the 4th icon from the right on the H and F toolbar, called "Switch between H and F".
The Footer will open.
Type what you want.
To close the Footer and return to the main doc, either click View > Header and Footer again or simply double click the main document just outside the Footer.
