579631 2007-08-11 10:35:00 I'm looking at either a Canon or an Epson. First one is CANON Pixma MP180 or EPSON Stylus CX4900 or maybe the EPSON Stylus CX3900. Anyone out there know about how good or bad these are please? I do print quite few photo's. Fiwi (6429)
579632 2007-08-11 10:42:00 You mean with a scanner/ fax etc?

Dedicated machines to a dedicated job always offer better quality in my opinion. I've got a canon IP4200 and it's sweet, the 4300 is the new model and it's about $200 but just a printer, not multifunction.

579633 2007-08-11 10:52:00 Get an HP, you won't regret it. Something like a Photosmart with the vivera ink technology and card reader are really good. My photos turn out a treat:thumbs: beeswax34 (63)
579634 2007-08-11 10:59:00 No I don't want a fax, just looking at these three multifunction printers and no others thanks. Fiwi (6429)
579635 2007-08-11 11:11:00 I have the canon mp450, not sure how it differs from the 180.

Prints photos very well on the proper paper.

579636 2007-08-11 11:29:00 I'll second the HP Photosmart for consideration :) Myth (110)
579637 2007-08-11 21:04:00 MP180 = 195 pages per printer cartridge.

CX4900 - 245 pages.

CX3900 - 245 pages

Find one that does at least 800.

579638 2007-08-11 23:50:00 Thanks for that. Fiwi (6429)
579639 2007-08-12 03:20:00 Multifunction machines suck in my opinion.
Seperate Scanner and printer, some scanners come with software that copy and send copies to the printer. Fax machines are last century.
