579019 2007-08-10 08:29:00 ok im sry but then im not a computer expert and i don't exactly know much bout computers but the basics....so let me continue with my problem...

ive been experiencing this problem after i increased the ram n also added a dvd player...

now the problem is happens when i play an online game...for example Ragnarok Online or Grenado Esperada....if this game isnt know just think of any game.....whenever i play the game freezes....but freeze i mean it stopped...i cant minimize the game, close it (tried alt+f4), n i cant even open the task manager....

another things is im not ure bout this i sent the comp to the shop again and i told them the problem but then they say tht everything is working fine and nothing is wrong but the game continue to freeze....

it cant be because of the graphic card or anything because i was able to paly these games before adding the dvd player n RAM...so now im kinda lost i donno whts wrong....im hoping tht someone can shine some light to these matter...

i want some suggestion...or someone to tell me what is actually wrong so i can probably find the solution....thank you i hope tht my englsih is not bad and what i wrote is understandable....thank you

579020 2007-08-10 08:40:00 What version of Windows is on it? How much ram is in it now?

First thing we can try is get hijackthis in my sig below.

Put it in its own folder, run it then click on scan and save a log.

Copy and paste the log here. We'll see whats in it.

Does the system freeze normally / with anything else ?

Or does it freeze ONLY when you're playing this game?

And what IDE connection, did you put this DVD on? Primary or secondary?

And what else is on this IDE connection the DVD is on? Anything else?

And when u play this game, is the cd/dvd still in the dvd??

579022 2007-08-10 08:47:00 Well the first thing to try would be to take out the ram you added and unplug the dvd player - see if you can play the game again without the problem.
Then plug the dvd in again and check how the game plays...
Lastly, add the ram again and see if the problem is back.
I would guess it could be the ram - is it the same make/size ramstick?

579026 2007-08-10 09:14:00 Saran, run hijackthis again tick these entries and tick fix checked. The log looks fine, nothing nasty in it.

Close browser/s.

These are safe

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k

If you dont use Nero Home, u can tick this

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\Lib\NMBgMonitor.exe"

I would use something better than Norton Internet Security tho.

[B]I would tick this entry too. Not sure what it is or does.

What are you on ? broadband or dialup??

I take it when u said DVD player you installed a DVD-rom in the case? Or did someone else do it?

If the shop installed the DVD, HOPEFULLY they installed it properly!

IDE is what the hard drive and cd/dvd roms are - IDE devices.

Did anyone install any video drivers on this?

579027 2007-08-10 09:15:00 It might just be your memory coz if its different memory sticks you are using that might be the problem. It is reccommended that you actually use the same sticks instead of 1 different 1'ns? manvsmachine (11826)
579028 2007-08-10 09:24:00 i sent it to the shop....they installed the dvd palyer and added the RAM...and how to unplug the dvd player sry im really not tht gd....T_T...
