And I must refrain from posting references that go over his head, I would have thought Google would have told him all about Jumping the shark. Trust me buddy, I know exactly what jumping the shark means, you don't exactly have to be a genius to figure that one out, I'm surprised you even think you're posting things that are above anyone's heads. Making the claim that 'jumping the shark' is even remotely connected to when TVNZ will start broadcasting in widescreen is downright stupid. You have gotten the origins of this post complete wrong, but at the same time you have proven my point exactly. I am not out to change anything drastic in these forums. This post is merely a suggestion/guideline to perhaps improve the user friendliness, especially for newer members. I am not going to close any threads that I feel is complete, nor has that ever been the point. The PF1 forums are a great place to hang out, get questions answered, contribute to the society and have fun. Nothing will change around that. The occasional friendly banter, baiting and smiley spam is fine, we're not out to stop anything or change what you guys do. I don't really want to upset anyone in here unless I feel forum rules or general etiquette are broken. In fact , I'll try not to get too involved here, as the community thrives by its own and needs very little moderation for the size of the forum. so everyone smile, keep doing what you're doing, don't freak out over changes that aren't changes and have fun on the forums. |

If I suggest that continued discussion after the issue is resolved adds worth does that count? You would then start a movement to generate continued discussion? No?
