That appears to be the main discussion from what I read.

Weather an issue would ever be fully resolved may never happen, but if some one makes a suggestion and it worked for the Person asking the question, then maybe that person could mark somehow and say either yes or no to the fix. and that answer marked in some way to say " Hey this worked for me this time", Normally if a fix doesn't work the person comes back saying so and some one then suggests something else, I suspect the post may keep going with answers, but sooner or later it would die a natual death.

An example of the above is at the MS forums on various subjects.
