580554 2007-08-13 23:22:00 My wife has a remote looking thing she uses to access her bank account.
How does it interface with the computer?

580555 2007-08-14 00:28:00 It doesn't inteface with your computer.
You just use it to get an access code that you need to log in to the Rabo bank site.
You have to set up a PIN first as it will ask for this before it will give you the access code.

It should have come with some instructions on how to set it up the first time.

580557 2007-08-14 02:20:00 Just make sure that your computer is free of any spyware or keyloggers before you use the Rabo Bank thing otherwise the keylogging software will record what ever number you enter on the keyboard from the Rabo Bank device. winmacguy (3367)
580558 2007-08-14 02:32:00 I use it too and noticed, that on a rolling basis, the 8 digit numbers tend to repeat........
Still it seems to be the best access way.
Also like the ASB, who (stupid!), give access to your account with an ever lasting ID/PW combo, but for transfers of money they send you a code to your mobile phone (charging 25 c to do that)......

580559 2007-08-14 03:02:00 I haven't had any problems with my ASB account. winmacguy (3367)
580560 2007-08-14 09:37:00 Ditto and the NetCode system works fantastically well. 2 factor ID is a far safer even if you have the same ID/PW combo for ages. beeswax34 (63)

Unless you have spyware and keylogers on your PC then neither method will be much use.

I don't think that matters as the password is continuously changing - the key logger will only get an old one.
