| 582455 | 2007-08-18 20:42:00 | I'm just in the process of setting up a new PC that I bought on TradeMe about a year ago. It has an All-in-One MB with video/graphics and sound connections but no matter which of the 6 plugs I plug my speakers in - it doesn't make a sound. I've checked the installed Sound Controllers and there's: Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Capture Devices, Media Control Devices & Video Codecs all loaded up and working fine. The speakers were working just fine on my old win98 pc before the HDD started to get bad sectors & I decided to retire it. In the device manager there is just one 'Other Device' 'PCI Device' with a yellow questionmark - so it's not working but although I don't know what this is or how to find out, I don't think it's anything to do with the sound not working... mind you - I've been work before today. Any suggestions how or what's stopping the sound? Cheers |

| 582460 | 2007-08-19 10:17:00 | Are you 100% positive you have the correct drivers for your MB.? The drivers if supplied when obtaing the PC may work with win98 but may not work with XP. Did you go to the MB's manufactures site and download for your board/XP drivers ? |
