2007-08-18 09:17:00 | Thanks for your fast reply. I have Nero and it asks that the file be converted to MPEG-2 first. Can you recommend an easy freeware program to convert flash to a DVD format? Thanks again. | Raewyn (946) | |
2007-08-18 09:25:00 | You would have to use Nerovision I think as it'll be video. There arent too many free programs around (well you can try them for free). BUT quite a few of them wont convert the whole file (some programs only do 50-60% conversion, not 100% conversion). Until you pay for it.

2007-08-18 09:34:00 | I've found Super (www.erightsoft.com) to be a great video conversion program -- it does everything I want and more. And it's free! It can look a bit intimidating at first, but if you choose what sort of output you want it picks a lot of defaults that seem to be ok. | davehartley (3487) | |

2007-08-18 09:53:00 | Yeah, the site's a bit of a nightmare to find your way around! Try this page (www.erightsoft.com), and the download links are right down the bottom. | davehartley (3487) | |
2007-08-18 23:09:00 | www.ripzor.com Free! (sometimes it will crash if your FLV is (i think) 15FPS, it requires editing of the command line options, but it will still convert)

2007-08-19 23:42:00 | Thanks everyone. Super worked well for me and I watched my first home-made DVD on the TV. Awesome! | Raewyn (946) | |
2007-08-19 23:51:00 | Thats the way. I use Super to convert files i've downloaded from google too. I convert them to .xvid though. It plays on all dvd players made in the last 3-4 years and is a much smaller file size. You can fit about 7 full length (1-1/12 hrs) movies on one dvd. One more thing, i've been having trouble getting movies using the firefox plugin called "videodownloader" so i've been using this one here (keepvid.com)
