| 582375 | 2007-08-18 02:57:00 | Howdy all, I cant think of the right computer names at the moment so bear with me when I call them strange names but ... When I rest my cursor over thread titles on Press F1 it shows a balloon with the beginning of the thread shown in it. However, on my homepage http://home.nzcity.co.nz/ it wont do it on the news items. It works ok on other parts of the page. When I try and balloon the news items, it gives me a box with a - in it. Have been through security settings etc but cant figure it out. Any help appreciated. Cheers. |

| 582378 | 2007-08-18 03:41:00 | Thanks for your input speedy and stu, however ... The news items used to balloon out the item, but that has changed recently. I suspect one of the security updates from Microsoft have changed the setting and I cant figure out where to go to change it back. |

| 582379 | 2007-08-18 04:59:00 | Just for the record, the word you're looking for is "tooltip". If on one page some work and others don't then it definitely isn't a setting that is stopping them from appearing in full. In fact, if all that shows is a "-" then they are working and this is all the website has set as the value (for the element attribute "title"). Also, Firefox is unable (out of the box) to show multi-line tooltips unlike IE. |
