| 582016 | 2007-08-18 13:27:00 | I tried to delete all the USB controllers one by one, then reboot each time. But some of them didn't seem to 'go'. They were still being displayed even ten mins later. So I tried rebooting after each 'non-delete'. But after I rebooted after the last one, it seems that some of the USB products are now having problems. My Skype phone seems to now hog the sound out (ie playing what should be through the speakers through it's speaker) requiring the Skype settings to be changed and the computers sound settings to be altered back to speakers sound out. Also, lost my external HDD. My USB TV stick also was constantly asking for it's drivers as if the computer had stopped recognising it. I think I've managed to get most of it back to normal, uninstalling and installing various things. On rebooting the system again, I checked the BIOS and the USB is set to USB 2. Any more thoughts? Cheers! |
