| 581730 | 2007-08-16 22:11:00 | ok now we tryed to download it and it made a box pop up that said "the instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000. The memory could not be "read" click on ok to terminate the program. | sweetbbyjen (12673) | ||
| 581731 | 2007-08-16 22:37:00 | Try this - Down load the ISO file and burn it to CD, Memtest (http://www.memtest86.com/) Run that and see if the memory's faulty, That message you are getting could be caused by some faulty program trying to write to memory and cant, or maybe faulty memory. Any one here can give advice, but its easier if we can figure out if its hardware or software, other wise its a long drawn out process. turn off the power to the PC Open the case, and touch a metal part to ground yourself. Check all cables/ plugs are in secure. You may want to try removing the memory and blowing out any dust/dirt just in case its not making contact. replace the memory then run memtest. If that doesn't work and you can boot even for a few momentsa, download this Hijackthis (www.spywareinfo.com) run it and post the results, this way we any tech's can see whats happening. |

| 581735 | 2007-08-17 00:59:00 | ok well i got the icons back up and i got online to run virus software and it deleted one thing. but i tryed using my adware software and it brings up like 80 things but it freezes up and wont delete them Ok getting there slowly - Download this Spybot (www.download.com) You need to run the update first, then run a full scan, that should remove the infections ( its free) Then if you still have problems download Hijackthis from earlier thread and please post results. What AV do you have and what was the "1 thing" it detected ( complete name of infection) |

| 581737 | 2007-08-17 02:23:00 | I did the spybot and that worked good...It detedcted 71 things but it would not delete them all for some reason......It would not delete: coolwwwsearch, eAcceleration, Microsoft.windows. IEFirewallBypass, MyWay.MyBar, Zango, and SpywareBOT It put three things under recovery but it says to make sure you do not need them before you delete them: coolwwwsearch, Accoona, and Altnet Not sure what to do there :badpc: |
