| 581657 | 2007-08-16 14:23:00 | I have begun to experience a problem with clicking on Links in e-mails. I use Eudora as my e-mail software - I won't touch Microsoft's buggy insecure Outlook, and I use Firefox as my browser, I have an even lower opinion of IE than MS Outlook, which I consider crap. In recent weeks, when I click on a web link in an e-mail, the Firefox comes up OK, but behind the Eudora window, which is reluctant to shrink, and I get the following Message; "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose "Switch To" to activate the busy program and correct the problem" If one takes the selection "Switch To", then the result is a new window opens, "About: blank " Microsoft Internet Explorer" which one then kills - "Firefox" has opened as expected behind all this lot. On my system MS Internet Explorer and MS Outlook cannot access the internet, as I have them blocked in Zone Alarm. As this is a relatively recent , and annoying occurrence, I can only assume that some Microsoft update has foisted this nonsense on me. Any ideas as to how I can kill this unwelcome Microsoft intrusion permanently. |
